The Mira Mesa Street Fair is held on Camino Ruiz annually. The festival mixes entertainment, exhibitors, and excellent food, maintaining the “small-town” atmosphere the town strives for. Completely organized by volunteers, the Street Fair includes displays from arts & crafts vendors, civic groups, and community stages.

Mira Mesa is known for its vast array of Asian and Pacific Islander cuisine. In addition, the community is home to the American Rose Theatre which features full-scale musical theatre plays that strive to educate children and teens in the performing arts.
