The quiet community of Mira Mesa is known for its family-friendly condominiums and tract housing. The heart of the city, Mira Mesa Boulevard, is the main commercial street featuring a variety of businesses and high-end shopping centers.
Convenience is the mantra of this central San Diego location. A midpoint between highways 805 and 15, North County, Downtown, and East San Diego are all accessible. Sorrento Valley, the “Silicon Valley of San Diego,” is just next door.
The Mira Mesa Street Fair is held on Camino Ruiz annually. The festival mixes entertainment, exhibitors, and excellent food, maintaining the “small-town” atmosphere the town strives for. Completely organized by volunteers, the Street Fair includes displays from arts & crafts vendors, civic groups, and community stages.
Mira Mesa is known for its vast array of Asian and Pacific Islander cuisine. In addition, the community is home to the American Rose Theatre which features full-scale musical theatre plays that strive to educate children and teens in the performing arts.
